This study aimed at understanding the status of the published articles on stylistics (Al-osloobieh) from 1389 SH to 1393 SH and comparing it to the desired situation. The study has been conducted based on quantitative content analysis. The data were collected using a questionnaire and descriptive statistics and then were transformed into quantitative data with excel software. The questionnaire addressed seven parts of the articles including title, abstract, introduction, method, and body. Based on the principles of article writing, each of these parts was coded and then analyzed. Studies show that in many cases, the introduction sections of the articles do not meet the required standards of article writing. This deficiency is mainly regarding the research questions and hypotheses and review of the previous studies. The fundamental shortcomings of the method sections were no clear specification of the research methodologies, data collections, data analyses, and materials.
It is recommended that article writers pay more attention to the theoretical principles of research, apply a critical-analytical approach, and commit to research innovation and research methods that they have mentioned in their articles.
